First repsponders had a relatively quiet day on Friday with just a handful of calls reported by Indiana County 911.
The first call of the day was on Route 119 South at Snyder Lane in Black Lick Township as Black Lick and Blairsville fire departments were dispatched for a one-vehicle accident at 6:55 AM. Black Lick fire officials said on the department’s Facebook page that a vehicle had drifted into the median. There were no injuries reported and fire crews provided traffic control until the State Police arrived on-scene.
There was a possible gas leak reported in Blairsville Borough in the area of South Brady Street. This was at 11:18 in the morning. Black Lick fire association members were called out for that.
A second vehicle accident was reported at 11:55 AM on Route 259 in Brush Valley Township. Brush Valley and Citizen’s Ambulance EMTs were dispatched to the scene for that incident. No details are available for this crash.
Black Lick and Blairsville fire department would be called on again in that same hour for traffic control detail at 11:55 AM for an incident on West Brown Street in the borough.
Finally, Indiana Fire Association was dispatched for a carbon monoxide alarm on North 10th Street in Indiana Borough. That call was reported at 9:05 PM.
