The Steelers wore the Guardian Cap helmet covers again yesterday as they began workouts for the game next Monday night against Indianapolis. Players wore the soft-shell covers in the offseason and training camp, and for some of their practices earlier in the regular season.
Former Ohio State running back Master Teague III and wide receiver Ja’Marcus Bradley were signed to the Steelers practice squad yesterday. Defensive tackle Renell Wren was released from the practice squad. Defensive back Quincy Wilson had been released on Tuesday. Linebacker Hamilcar Rashed was released from the practice squad injured reserve list on Tuesday.

Week 12 of the NFL season gets underway today with three Thanksgiving Day games. The day kicks off with the Lions hosting the Bills in Detroit. That’s followed by the Giants and Cowboys in Dallas, and then the Patriots vist the Minnesota Vikings in night action.
Quarterback news from across the league includes the Bears’ Justin Fields confirming a partially separated left shoulder, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers saying he’s been playing with a broken thumb on his throwing hand since week five, and the Rams declaring Matthew Stafford out of Sunday’s game against the Chiefs with a neck injury.
The Jets have benched quarterback Zach Wilson this week and will start Mike White against the Bears. The Texans are replacing their quarterback, Davis Mills, with Kyle Allen Sunday against the Dolphins.
