Indiana Borough council met last night and discussed a problem with an ordinance that they had worked on a few years ago.
The ordinance concerns street repairs to be made by entities like utility companies who tear up the road to make their own repairs. Borough council member Gerald Smith said that what they had wanted somehow did not make it into the borough ordinance.
Smith said that this will be corrected soon.
In other business, borough council approved a waiver of the borough’s open container ordinance for IRMC Park on Saturday, November 30th for the Small Business Saturday event. The council also approved a motion to purchase a truck for their public works department at a cost of $79,085.
