An outside extension cord was the cause of the fire that initially brought out several fire companies this morning.
Indiana County 911 reported at 6:40 this morning, Clymer and Cherryhill Township fire departments along with RIG teams from Clymer and Cambria and Citizens Ambulance were all called out to a two-story farmhouse at 1310 Stable Road in Cherryhill Township. John Gromley of Clymer Fire Department said that the three adults that lived in the home were able to get out safely. Firefighters were able to salvage the home and it is inhabitable, so the family can move back in as soon as they can.
The fire was electrical in nature. No injuries were reported.
