With school starting on Monday for IUP students, and move-ins going on for the rest of the weekend, IUP officially kicked off the school year with a presentation at Fisher Auditorium.
In his speech, IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll said that while things may seem down for institutions of higher learning, IUP is still going strong. He cited IUP Council of Trustees Student Representative as a good example of what Dr. Driscoll introduced last year as “The IUP Way”.
He also mentioned in his speech that he wants to see more people “bragging” about IUP and how great an institution it is.
This year is Driscoll’s 5th year as IUP president. Move-in for first year students continues today, with the upperclassmen to start move-ins on Sunday
