There is still no contract agreement after another day of negotiations Monday between the State System of Higher Education and APSCUF, the faculty union that also represents coaches at the state-owned universities.
Coaches continue to work under the terms of a contract that expired on June 30th. APSCUF’s coach executive leader, John Gump, said after Monday’s session that they made significant progress on a number of issues, but “there remain some key areas of disagreement.”
No details were released on the talks. It was the eighth bargaining session, with more negotiations scheduled on December 5th and December 11th.
Meanwhile, the State System still has not released a date for the Board of Governors to consider ratification of a new four-year contract for faculty at the fourteen state-owned schools. The union approved the deal last week.
