When the Penguins started their three-game road trip, they had lost nine of their last eleven games. Now they have won three in a row as they come home to Pittsburgh. Paul Steigerwald has the story.
Coach Mike Sullivan says it was a great night for Malkin.
Sullivan says Malkin, Sidney Crosby, and Kris Letang continue to lead by example.
Crosby had ten points on the road trip, including the game-winning goal last night. Sullivan admires Crosby’s game.
Coinciding with the return of Teddy Blueger to the lineup, the Penguins have not allowed a power play goal in four straight games. They were 4-for-4 last night on the PK and have killed the straight penalties.
The Penguins return to action on Wednesday at home against Calgary.
