PennDOT says last week’s postponed work on the Route 286/Route 422 widening and resurfacing project in White Township will finally get underway tomorrow.
Lane restrictions and possible delays will be in effect on Oakland Avenue on Monday. Workers will be painting lines along the roadway from the Route 422 interchange to Rustic Lodge Road. In addition, work on adjusting the current traffic barriers will continue, to straighten out and move the travel lanes to the center of the road while maintaining three lanes.
The work is dependent on the weather. The restrictions will be from 6 AM to 6 PM.
The $19.83 million Route 286/Route 422 widening and resurfacing project also includes replacement of the bridge over McCarthy Run and the installation of sidewalks along Oakland Avenue. It’s targeted for completion in December of next year.
