Officials with the faculty union of the State System of Higher Education universities will meet in Harrisburg today to tally the votes taken earlier this week on a tentative labor agreement.
The four-year agreement was announced on September 19th after five straight days of negotiations. It would replace a one-year deal that expired June 30th. If approved by APSCUF members, the new contract will go to the State System Board of Governors for their approval.
Meanwhile, another round of negotiations on a new contract for State System coaches is scheduled to begin on Monday. The coaches are also represented by APSCUF. The last talks were on October 28th and there are additional sessions scheduled on December 5th and December 11th. The most recent coaches’ contract also expired June 30th.
