Indiana County Commissioners made several approvals that will move the Conservation District Project at ICTC forward at their meeting this morning.
Among the items approved were contracts for:
- CNC Construction of Penn Run for the General Construction Contract at $1,384,900
- Mashan, Inc. of Home, PA for the electrical construction contract at $415,100
- Newman Plumbing of Zelienople for the Plumbing Contract at $68,890
- Hranec Corporation of Uniontown with the Mechanical Contract at $161,000.
County Commissioner Rod Ruddock said that it was a great day as the contracts, a memorandum of understanding and a request to draw proceeds will move the project closer to construction and will be financially sound for the county.
In other business, the commissioners honored Laurie Lafontane, who was recently honored by the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Planning Association as Citizen Planner of the Year. The commissioners also held a brief re-organization session, naming Commissioner Ruddock as the chairman until the end of the year and Sherene Hess as vice chairman.
