The Penguins tied the score at 2-2 against the Rangers last night, but New York pulled out a 3-2 win in overtime, snapping the Penguins two-game win streak.
Justin Schultz and Jared McCann scored for the short-handed Penguins. Pens goalie Matt Murray, making his seventh straight start and 15th in 18 games this season, stopped 24 shots.
The Penguins earned at least a point for the sixth time in seven games (4-1-2).
Sidney Crosby did not play and reportedly was in Philadelphia to see a core specialist. At this point he has not been ruled out of Friday’s game against the Devils in Newark.
