The State Police investigation into the death of a newborn child on Wednesday in Creekside is still going on.
Troopers are now saying that the autopsy of the newborn boy was completed, and that their investigation is continuing. The cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.
Police are also saying at this time that they believe the baby was born at 10:00 PM at the home, and that was when a family member notified the authorities. In a previous report, police had said they were called out along with County Coroner Jerry Overman, Jr., the DA’s Office, the State Police Forensic Services Unit, along with some EMT’s. When the EMT’s got there, they tried to revive the child but were unable to do so. Police also seized various items of drug paraphernalia at the residence.
The identity of the people involved in this case has not been released as of yet.
