The area’s volleyball season came to a close over the weekend as the Homer-Center Wildcats fell to Maplewood in straight sets on Saturday.
Homer-Center was led by Meegan Williams, with nine kills. Alaina Fabin had six kills and Ashlyn Kerr had five. Macy Sardone had 19 assists, Molly Kosmack had six single blocks, and Ali Schmidt had four single blocks and one assisted block. Anna Cutshall had 17 digs.
Wildcats coach Beth Cutshall says it was a great season.
Cutshall says the Homer-Center senior group has accomplished quite a lot.
The coach says Homer-Center will have a solid group coming back next year.
The Heritage Conference champions, Homer-Center finished as the number two team from District 6 and won their first-round state tournament game over WPIAL champion Frazier.
