The IUP women started their season with a 66-52 win over Davis and Elkins at the KCAC Friday night.
After a close first quarter, the women broke away in the second, scoring 18 to Davis and Elkins 10 points, then the defense clamped down and limited the opposition to just 24 points in the second half.
Kiera Baughman lead the team with 19 points, followed by Maria Cerro with 15 points.
IUP will host Lincoln today at the KCAC at 7:00 PM.
