Dana M. Jedrzejek, 42, of Johnstown, passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, at her home.
A daughter of Frank and Mary Jane Protz Sosnick, she was born Feb. 23, 1977, in Indiana.
Mrs. Jedrzejek was a graduate of Apollo Ridge High School and received a bachelor of science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Rehabilitation and Sociology. Dana was the former executive director of the Driver’s Education Department at IUP. She enjoyed painting, golfing and making flower arrangements.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Jane Sosnick, of Homer City; her husband, Shawn Jedrzejek, of Johnstown; a stepdaughter, Sophia Jedrzejek, of Johnstown; her father and mother-in-law, John and Florence Jedrzejek, of Johnstown; brother-in-law, Brian and wife Terry Jedrzejek, of Johnstown; sister-in-law, Lisa Jedrzejek, of Atlanta, Ga.; godparents, Robert and Matricia Fiscus, of McIntyre; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Sosnick; a cousin, Andrea Fiscus; maternal uncle, Andrew and wife Mary Protz; paternal uncle, Andrew and wife Mary Sosnick; and paternal aunt, Patricia Alexander. Dana will be sadly missed by her mother, her loving husband, and her pets, Hilda, Puggle and Alice.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., where a Parastas will be held at 3 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Protection of Mary Byzantine Catholic Church in Homer City with Fr. Wesley Mash officiating. Interment will be in Iselin Cemetery.
