After weeks of waiting, Steelers star linebacker T.J. Watt announced on Friday that he will be back on the field this Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
Watt says he is not anticipating being on a “pitch count”, or limited playing time. He has been sidelined with a torn pectoral muscle that he suffered in the season opener against Cincinnati, where he accrued six tackles – three for a loss – and one sack.
Needless to say, Watt is anxious to get back on the field.
Also returning to the field on Sunday is safety Damontae Kazee, who was activated from injured reserve on Thursday. Kicker Chris Boswell is on IR while he deals with a groin injury. Former Chiefs kicker Matthew Wright will be the Steelers’ kicker tomorrow.
