At last night’s meeting, the Marion Center School Board approved fixing an undermining problem at the administration building.
The board of directors approved the project at Monday evening’s meeting at a total cost of $18,646. The school board will utilize funds from the Capital Improvement Budget. ShadCo was awarded the major portion of the contract at a cost of $12,291. Other contracts include J.L. Dumm Plumbing and Heating at $4,690 and COG at a cost of $1665.
In other action, a memorandum of understanding with the Marion Center Area Education Association to adjust the work schedule on November 7th, 2019 and February 13, 2020 to accommodate teacher conferences.
In personnel action, Hannah Sharp was granted permission to work with Nutrition Services Director Allison Kimmel in a nutrition internship from November 11th, 2019 to January 24, 2020.
Also, Tyson Ellenberger and Rebecca Usko were granted permission to escort students to the state leadership workshop at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Pocono Manor on November 2nd to the 4th.
