State System of Higher Education Chancellor Dan Greenstein comes to IUP today for an open forum discussion, and the event is open to the community.

Greenstein embarked on his second fall tour of the fourteen state-owned universities last month. IUP is the tenth stop. He was at Slippery Rock yesterday.
Much of the discussion at the forums has been on the State System Redesign, which is in the final months of its second phase, “developing detailed implementation plans”. Early next year, the Redesign is expected to transition to Phase Three, executing the plans with a continual review process to improve on its various elements.
While the redesign is a main focus of today’s visit, Greenstein will take questions on any topic related to the State System. Some of the issues which have come up at other schools’ forums have included affordability, academics, and social issues.
The open forum with the chancellor today is from 3 to 4 PM in the Great Room at Elkin Hall. For those who cannot be there, it will be livestreamed at https://youtu.be/z9fk2gy9c2k.
