Indiana County’s Magisterial District Courts will be busy today with several preliminary hearings.
While most of the preliminary hearings are either DUI or drug-related, there are some hearings for people facing other charges. This includes three people who are facing theft-related charges. 42-year-old Mary Elizabeth Sanders was charged with misdemeanor receiving stolen property for an incident on July 2nd, 2019. That hearing will be at 10:00 this morning before District Judge Susanne Steffee.
44-year-old Karl Friederich Amelang of Indiana faces a charge of retail theft by under-ringing. This allegedly happened on August 9th. He also will be before Judge Steffee this morning at 10:30.
And also coming to Judge Steffee’s office will be 18-year-old Shawn Anthony Airhart of Penn Run. He is accused of theft and receiving stolen property in a case that allegedly happened on August 27th. He is also scheduled to see Judge Steffee this morning.
