INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough police have charged a 20-year-old man with a robbery that happened earlier this month in the 600 block of School Street. Police say that on October 14th, police were called out for a report of assault, and they found a man who reported had been physically assaulted and had his cell phone stolen during the pre-arranged sale of some other personal property. The stolen cell phone was valued at $900.
While police conducted the investigation, they were able to identify the suspect as 20-year-old Fodie Camara.
The phone was eventually recovered. Camara faces charges of robbery, simple assault, theft and receiving stolen property. He was arraigned at District Judge Susanne Steffee’s office.
CLYMER BOROUGH POLICE
Clymer Borough Police have charged a man with simple assault. Police say that on October 20th at 8:57 PM, they were called out to a home in the borough for a reported disturbance. Few details were listed about the disturbance itself, but during the investigation, police placed 31-year-old David Deitman under arrest on charge of simple assault
Clymer police say a traffic stop turned into a drug bust in the borough. Police say last night around 10:30 PM, An officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Franklin Street and Elm Avenue. A search of the car produced a small amount of marijuana wax and drug paraphernalia. The driver, identified only as a 21-year-old Curwensville man, was charged with misdemeanor drug crimes.
