Homer-Center went on the road and unseated WPIAL champion Frazier, 3-0 in the first round of the state volleyball tournament last night. The scores were 25-20, 25-20, and 25-19.
For the Wildcats, Meegan Williams had 16 kills and 5 digs. Ashlyn Kerr had 8 kills and 5 digs. Alaina Fabin had 6 kills and 5 assisted blocks. Ali Schmidt had 5 kills and 4 solo blocks and 3 assisted blocks. Molly Kosmack had 5 solo blocks and 2 assisted blocks. Macy Sardone had 31 assists and 2 service aces.
Homer-Center will play Maplewood on Saturday in the quarterfinals. The District 10 champ won in straight sets over Elk County Catholic.
