IUP jumped on Clarion for 21 points in the first quarter and 21 points more to finish off the Golden Eagles in the fourth quarter for a 59-21 win at Clarion in PSAC football action Saturday.

The IUP defense forced seven turnovers and the offense put up 601 total yards.
The 601 total yards and 59 points were the second-highest outputs of the season for the Crimson Hawks, who averaged 7.6 yards per play and had 30 first downs.
IUP recovered four fumbles and picked off three passes with the seven takeaways the most for the program since forcing Gannon into nine turnovers back on November 1, 2008.
The Crimson Hawks improved to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division. It was a bounce back victory for IUP after suffering a 45-42 loss at rival Slippery Rock a week ago.
