In Indiana County Court today, two defendants are scheduled for sentencing.
48-year-old Christina Benematti of Commodore pleaded no contest to single counts of felony identity theft, and unauthorized device access, with non-prosecution for four other counts of each of those offenses and on five counts each of theft and receiving stolen property. Police said Benematti misused credit cards stolen from a Homer City man and, with an accomplice, ran up $40,000 in charges.
Also today, 25-year-old Chris Allen Henry of Indiana will be sentenced for misdemeanor corruption of minors.
