Ligonier Township Police have charged three people with drug-related crimes.
Reports say 26-year-olds George Calabrace and Kyle Clem, along with 21-year-old Kelsey Matthews all face charges connected with an alleged “one-pot” meth lab. Police in Ligonier Township teamed up with borough and Latrobe police along with state troopers and agents of the Attorney General’s office to serve a warrant at a home on Trout Avenue. Investigators and drug-sniffing dogs found 351 stamp bags of suspected heroin, a single plastic bottle used for producing methamphetamine in the “one-pot” method, and other items of drug paraphernalia. Investigators found the place had dog waste and needles scattered around the place, and they also found three children in the home at the time.
Matthews and Clem are facing charges of operating a meth lab, disposing of chemical waste, manufacturing meth with a child present, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Calabrace faces charges of possession with intent to deliver, child endangerment, possession of drugs and of drug paraphernalia. The three are in Westmoreland County Jail with Bail set at $50,000 each. Preliminary hearings are set for August 25th.
