The Penguins have lost seven games in a row, two of them to Seattle on consecutive Saturdays. The Pens returned to PPG Paints Arena last night, but the home cooking wasn’t tasty enough to earn a win. The Kraken took the game, 3-2.
Despite outshooting Seattle 39 to 28 and attempting 64 shots to the Kraken’s 28, the Penguins again failed to muster enough offense to get the win. Former Penguins Brandon Tanev had the game-winner for Seattle at the 16:21 mark of the third period.
Penguins goals were scored by Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel.
The Pens are back on the ice on Wednesday at Washington.
