A sewage project for White Township is on hold for now after bids have been opened for the project.
At last night’s White Township Supervisors meeting, Township Manager Milt Lady opened bids for the Shelly Drive project, which would relocate a sanitary sewage line in that area. The apparent low bidder out of the five bids presented was Ray Winters and Sons of Indiana, who bid the project at $48,547.50. Upon the advice of Township Manager Milt Lady, the board of Supervisors tabled accepting the lowest bids. Lady said after the meeting that they want the sanitary sewer engineer to take a closer look at the bids and make a recommendations prior to the supervisors accepting the bids.
In other business, Lady said that the township is about ready to send all flood damage information into the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency. All flood damage forms need to be submitted to the Township office by Friday. You can pick up a form at the township office, or log on to White Township’s website: www.whitetownship.org
