A Penn Run man was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a crash on Route 422 in Pine Township.
According to Cherry Tree police officer Lou Sacco, Robert Ondo was traveling westbound and had just passed another vehicle. As he changed lanes, Ondo’s pickup truck went off the highway, hit an embankment, and flipped over several times.
Ondo was trapped in the truck and had to be extricated by Cherryhill Township firefighters. He was taken to a landing zone set up by Clymer firefighters, from where he was flown to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown.
