The IUP football team moved up to No. 16 in the AFCA Coaches Poll.
IUP’s opponent this Saturday, Slippery Rock, is No. 9, with the other PSAC teams checking in with West Chester at No. 12 and Kutztown at No. 21. All four teams are 5-0.
The IUP-Slippery Rock game is set for 2 pm Saturday at the Rock. The pregame show will begin at 1:45 p.m. on U92.5 and U92radio.com with Jack Benedict, Ab Dettorre and Greg Drahuschak.
In a related IUP football story, all-purpose player Duane Brown has been named the PSAC Western Division Athlete of the Week for a second straight week. Brown has scored 12 touchdowns in five games to lead the conference. He caught four passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns in the win over California last Saturday.
