The national gas price average is going up, but Pennsylvania’s average is going down.
According to Triple-A, the national average gas cost is $3.77 a gallon, a one-cent increase over the last 24 hours and over the last week. It is two cents lower than last month. The national average price last year at this time was $3.40.
Pennsylvania’s average this morning is going down slightly to $4.00 a gallon. That’s down a penny from yesterday, but up seven cents from last week and up 24 cents from last month. Last year, Pennsylvania’s average was 43-cents lower than today’s average at $3.57 a gallon.
Indiana’s average has gone down over the last few days to $3.98 a gallon, tying it with Westmoreland County. Jefferson County still has the lowest average in the region at $3.92 After Indiana and Westmoreland Counties, the next highest was $3.99 in Cambria County. Clearfield and Armstrong Counties at $4.01.
Jefferson County has the lowest average in the state, while Pike County has the highest average in the state at $4.16.
Gas prices in Indiana this morning are hovering between $3.95 and $3.99 a gallon. Homer City, Clymer and Blairsville are all at $3.99 a gallon, according to Gasbuddy.com.
