At a special meeting on Wednesday night, the Indiana School Board approved a resolution to hold a public hearing for the Eisenhower Elementary School Project, but the resolution had some last-minute changes.
Superintendent Michael Vuckovich said that just minutes before the meeting started, some new numbers came in on what the maximum cost will be for the project.
The new upper limit for the project, according to the revised Act 34 resolution is now $33.8 million. The resolution also authorizes a public hearing to be held on the project at the district board room at 6:30 on November 22nd to gather public comment. But Vuckovich said that over the course of November, the timeline for the project will accelerate.
The next special meeting for the Eisenhower project is scheduled for November 7th, but the time has not been determined.
The board also approved creating a clerk of the works position for the Eisenhower project, with a proposed job description and sample contract coming back to the board for approval.
