A popular Indiana restaurant is looking to move to Coral and they are seeking permission to transfer their liquor license from White Township to Center Township.
At last night’s Center Township Supervisors Meeting, representatives with The Grapevine restaurant announced they intend to move their restaurant into the former Whitey’s Peetza location in Coral. Nicole LeTorte of The Grapevine said that they wanted to move to Coral because the Whitey’s location provided them with the separation for casual and formal dining, along with the addition of outdoor dining space.
As part of their move, they want to be able to serve alcoholic beverages along with their food, so an inter-municipal liquor license transfer must be done. Supervisors chairman John Bertolino does not anticipate any problems with the transfer because LeTorte owns the license already, and this is because it’s a restaurant and not a “six-pack shop” like the issue that was brought up with the recent Sheetz license transfer. A hearing on the transfer is expected within the next few weeks.
The Supervisors also announced that they were putting together bid packages to pave Six Flat Road. Work in the bid package will also include paving up to the driveways for residents along that road. No word yet on how much that project will cost.
