PennDOT has announced details on a project on Route 422 in Plumcreek Township, just west of Elderton.
New traffic patterns are in place as part of the Shelocta West Resurfacing project. As a part of the project, crews installed a left turning lane from Route 422 to Farster/Brandish roads and additionally, the truck climbing lane on 422 near the intersection will be closed as crews work on installing rumble strips, paint and pavement markings, raised pavement markers, and new signs. The truck climbing lane will reopen at the end of the month. This is part of the resurfacing of 422 along with the installation of guardrails, minor upgrades to the drainage, and other construction projects.
The truck climbing lane will re-open in Nobember, but the project will wrap up early next month.
