As expected, the Steelers parted ways with one of their young wide receivers ahead of today’s trade deadline.
News broke around 1:35 this afternoon that the Steelers traded Chase Claypool to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, according to multiple sources.
Claypool, 24, was the Steelers’ second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. In three seasons, he’s hauled in 153 catches for 2,044 yards and 12 touchdowns. This year, he had 32 catches for 311 yards and one touchdown.
The NFL Trade Deadline is at 4 p.m.
