Today is the deadline for applications for mail-in ballots for next week’s general election.
The deadline is 5:00 tonight for applying for a mail-in ballot. That can be done online at vote.pa.gov or by going in-person to the county elections office. Acting secretary of state Leigh Chapman said in a meeting of the Pennsylvania Press Club said that so far, over 1.4 million voters have registered for the mail-in ballot.
She added that the best way to make sure that your mail-in ballot counts at this point is to return the mail-in ballot in-person. In Indiana County, you can return it to the elections office at the County Courthouse.
All mail-in ballots need to be in to the courthouse by 8:00 PM on Election night. Ballots post-marked and dated by that time but that still arrive late will not be counted.
