IUP GOALTENDER NAMED DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

IUP women’s soccer goalkeeper Vanessa Berlin yesterday was named the PSAC West Defensive Player of the Week.

Berlin made 11 saves over two games last week, a 3-0 shutout of UPJ and a scoreless tie to close out the regular season against Seton Hill in which she made eight stops.  Berlin made 33 saves in eight games this season for IUP, collecting three shutouts.

IUP just missed out on a berth in the PSAC Tournament, finishing one spot out of contention in fifth.
