District 6 released its playoff brackets today and six Heritage Conference teams will be playing this Friday.
In Class 1A, a Heritage team will play in each of the four games: Top seed Penns Manor plays host to No. 8 Glendale, No. 2 Northern Cambria plays host to No. 7 Moshannon Valley, No. 6 Homer-Center travels to No. 3 Cambria Heights for the second time this season, and No. 5 Portage visits No. 4 Juniata Valley.
Homer-Center’s game can be heard on WCCS FM 101.1 and AM 1160 and watched on Renda Digital TV on WCCSradio.com (6:15 pm). Penns Manor’s game can be heard on U92.5 FM and watched on Renda Digital TV on U92radio.com (6:15 pm).
In Class 2A, No. 8 West Shamokin visits No. 1 Richland. If the Wolves can get by Richland, they will play the winner of Bushop Guilfoyle-Southern Huntingdon.
On the 1A side, if Penns Manor wins, the Comets get the Portage-Juniata Valley winner. If Homer-Center wins, the Wildcats get the Northern Cambria-Moshannon Valley winner.
All games in both brackets are Friday games until the 1A championship, which will be Saturday, Nov. 19 at Altoona. Classes 1A, 2A, 3A will play their championships at Altoona’s Mansion Park.
