One of the Indiana School District’s Elementary Schools has received national recognition for making notable improvements in closing the achievement gap.
In a letter on the district website, Indiana School District Superintendent Michael Vukovich said that Eisenhower was recently awarded the Exemplary Achievement Gap Closing Schools National Blue Ribbon award for 2019 from the federal department of education. The designation is for public and private elementary, middle or high schools where students achieve very high learning standards or are making notable improvements towards closing the achievement gap. The award affirms the hard work put in by students, educators, families and communities in creating a safe and welcoming environment.
In the letter on the district website, Vukovich praised the faculty, staff, students and families of Eisenhower and said that the district is constantly striving to make sure the academic program meets the needs of all students while encouraging them to do their best.
