Today is National Drug Takeback Day, and some local agencies will be taking part today.
Drug Takeback Day will be held at Diamond Drug on Philadelphia Street in Indiana. The effort is being done by Diamond along with the Indiana County Sheriff’s Office and the Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission.
This is part of the nationwide effort to safely get rid of prescription and over the counter pills and capsules. No needles, epi pens or liquid medications will be accepted for this effort. All drugs that are collected during this effort will be taken to be destroyed properly.
Today’s event runs from 10-2.
