Today’s Indiana County Court schedule includes more than thirty cases in which DUI defendants will both plead guilty and be sentenced. As has become the norm, there are about as many DUI drug cases as there are for DUI alcohol.
While most of the proceedings will involve both driving under the influence and related offenses, some of them stand out because of other circumstances.
20-year-old Brandon Wolfe of Glen Campbell is charged with thirty offenses, including DUI, two felony theft charges, three misdemeanor drug charges, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, and twelve summary traffic violations. Police say that on February 28th, Wolfe crashed a stolen car into a farm machine and a tree at a business along Route 240 in Green Township. He fled on foot and later tried to get into the car of a woman who stopped to check on him. Police then picked him up walking along Route 580. Drugs were found on Wolfe and in the car he crashed.
39-year-old Alfred Painter of Cherry Tree will plead and be sentenced in a DUI case which also involves charges of theft and receiving stolen property.
35-year-old Ryan Lynn of Altoona will plead and be sentenced to charges of DUI, three counts of endangering the welfare of children, and two summary traffic violations.
