At last night’s meeting, the White Township Supervisors discussed the upcoming renovations to the S&T Bank Arena at the White Township Recreational Complex.
The arena is expected to undergo a large renovation project after the 2019-2020 ice skating season is over. Township Manager Milt Lady said that they hope to have a notice to proceed ready in December, so that the construction company can start ordering equipment and have it on site by the start of construction. As far as costs go, Lady said that cost estimates for the project could go over budget.
Lady also said that there’s a possibility DCNR could also give them more money.
In other business, the township reminded its residents that fall leaf collection will start on October 28th and will run on Mondays for five weeks, with the exception of Veteran’s Day, which falls on a Monday this year. That final leaf collection day will be held on the following day. Also, township residents were reminded that per township ordinance, leaf burning is not allowed in the township.
