No injuries were reported in two crashes reported this morning: one on Route 553 in Pine Township and one on Route 119 in Center Township
At 6:07 AM, Indiana County 911 called Pine Township fire department to the scene on Route 553 in the township. Pine Township fire chief Keith Muir reported that the vehicle involved went over an embankment near the intersection of 553 with Mount Zion and Grisemore Road. The car also collided with a utility pole that carried only Verizon phone lines, and knocked the lines off the pole. The site was cleared quickly and everything was put to the side of the road.
Cherryhill Township Fire Department had been called in to assist with traffic control.
The other accident was reported an hour later, at 7:02 this morning at the intersection of Route 119 and 56 near Homer City. A motorcyclist was headed north on 119 when he lost control of his bike and he laid it down to go into a skid. The bike ended up in the Southbound left-hand-turn lane on Route 119. The motorcyclist refused treatment on the scene.
Crews were om the scene for about a half hour before the area was cleaned.
