The United School District says PennDOT has notified it of some upcoming highway construction for the first two weeks of October.
The ramps on and off Route 22 will be closed for four days, two separate times. The work will start October 1st through the 4th on the ramps on and off eastbound Route 22 to Route 56 and on and off westbound 22 to Route 403.
After reopening for the weekend of October 5th and 6th, the ramps on and off westbound 22 to Route 56 and on and off eastbound 22 to Route 403 will be closed from October 7th through the 10th.
Posted detours will use a combination of the other open ramps, the McFeaters Jug Handle, and Route 259. However, there are numerous other roads in that area of East Wheatfield Township that drivers may also utilize.
