Pitt offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti Jr. met with reporters yesterday with a crucial game at 21st-ranked North Carolina coming up on Saturday night. The Panthers are 4-3 and the offense has struggled.
Cignetti said he’s not concerned with the statistics, except for one.
Cignetti said preparing for any opponent is a challenge, but in-game decisions may change that game plan.
Cignetti became emotional when asked about his father, Frank Sr., the legendary IUP coach and athletic director who passed away on September 10th. He says his dad taught about more than just coaching.
The longtime assistant coach says his dad remains a major influence on his life.
The Panthers and Tar Heels kick off Saturday night at 8 on WCCS.
