Indiana borough police are reporting a case of vandalism that happened on Water Street on Wednesday. Police say that between 10 AM and 8:00 PM, someone vandalized a Ford truck that was parked in the 300 block of Water Street. The vandal reportedly broke a cab window on the truck. State police say that charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle are pending in a case of a missing company vehicle. Police say that on Wednesday, CC Forbes Energy reported that one of their employees, a 33-year-old man from Penn Run was in possession of a company vehicle and was supposed to drive it to West Virginia, but the suspect failed to do so and retained possession the vehicle until State police came across him and the car just before midnight on Wednesday. Charges are pending through district judge Susanne Steffe’s office.
Police are looking for suspects in a robbery in Green Township that happened Sunday night. State Troopers say that between 9:30 and 10:00 PM, a 38-year-old Strongstown man was walking along the highway when the robber hit him in the head with what is believed to be a metal rod. No word on what was taken. The suspect fled in an unknown direction. If you have any information on the case, call police at 724-357-1960.
An investigation into some terroristic threats is going on now in Burrell Township. Police say on Tuesday, a 15-year-old Blairsville girl received several messages from an unknown person on Instagram. The messages were harassing and the person sending the messages threatened to harm someone if the demands were not met. The validity of these threats is not known at this time.
