In Indiana County Court today, two defendants are scheduled for Plea Court appearances, one of whom was caught in last spring’s “Operation One Pot” police roundup of eleven methamphetamine suspects.
45-year-old William Scott Meagher is charged with four felony offenses: manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver, operating a methamphetamine lab, possessing substances with intent to unlawfully manufacture, and storing and disposing of chemical waste. He also will plead to misdemeanor charges of possessing ephedrine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In a separate case, Meagher is charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals resulting in serious bodily injury or death and misdemeanor cruelty to animals.
Meagher is listed with addresses in Homer City in one filing and New Florence in the other.
The other Plea Court appearance today is for 53-year-old Debbra Lynn McAdams of Blairsville, who is charged with filing a false insurance claim and theft by deception. In a case filed by the state Attorney General’s office, McAdams is accused of adding comprehensive and collision coverage to her auto insurance last December after she had hit a deer, and then filing a claim for the damages.
