The Penguins looked like they would be blown out at the start of last night’s game against the LA Kings, but Tristan Jarry held them together and eventually they regained their footing.
Paul Steigerwald has the story.
The win was the 300th as Penguins coach for Mike Sullivan, who was quick to credit his players for the achievement.
Sullivan is the all-time winningest coach in Penguins history, far surpassing Dan Bylsma’s 252 victories. He has 70 career wins as well with the Boston Bruins.
Sullivan has been impressed with the play of Jason Zucker, who was only credited with an assist last night, but whose presence in front of the net has been key in all four of the Pens’ games this season.
The Penguins take off on a five-game road trip next, starting tomorrow night at Columbus.
