The Pittsburgh Steelers meet the Patriots tonight in New England in their season opener.
Yesterday, the Patriots signed former Steeler Antonio Brown, who was released by the Oakland Raiders, but Brown will not be eligible for tonight’s game. He cannot officially join the Patriots until tomorrow.
Pittsburgh will be looking to establish a passing game that features JuJu Smith-Schuster, who becomes Ben Roethlisberger’s top target after Brown’s departure in the off-season. Big Ben has also lost another reliable pass-catcher, backup tight end Jesse James, who signed with Detroit after last season.
On defense, top draft pick linebacker Devin Bush will make his NFL debut against Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champs. Bush will not be int he starting lineup but will see plenty of action. Starting safety Sean Davis will not play and will be replaced by Kam Kameron, a former Dallas Cowboy who played in the now-defunct Alliance of American Football last spring.
