FORMER STEELER HIRED AS JETS ASSISTANT COACH

Former Steelers standout Hines Ward has been hired by the New York Jets as a full-time assistant.

Ward was one of the Jets’ four coaching interns. He will work with the wideouts.

The Steelers open the season at New England Sunday night.
