The NEA has given a $10,000 grant to the university to help with the upcoming presentation of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. In a news release, Curt Scheib, Dean of the College of Fine Arts said that the mission of the Lively Arts is right in line with the mission of the NEA, in providing the community the chance to experience the arts in all its forms.
The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performance on October 12th at 8:00 PM will be the kickoff to the 2019-2020 season, and will include a performance from Baritone Mattias Goerne. The show will be followed by a post-show reception in the Crimson Café, which will be open to all concert attendees.
