State police say a 69-year-old East Wheatfield Township man has been defrauded of more than $700 in payments made to an insurance company by an unknown thief who accessed his debit card. The thefts took place between January 30th and July 1st. The victim’s name has not been released.
An Aultman man was taken into custody on Wednesday night and charged with driving under the influence, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct. State police were called to a home along 4th Street in Aultman for a domestic dispute. While there, 29-year-old Travis Shank-Kendrick drove up and got out of his vehicle, causing a disturbance outside the home. He was taken to the Indiana County Jail.
Indiana Borough Police charged 30-year-old Duane Ferrell of Altoona with public drunkenness Tuesday afternoon after he caused a disturbance at a business in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street.
Borough Police also report the theft of a stop sign from the intersection of South 5th and Grant streets overnight Friday into Saturday morning. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-349-2121.
